Analogy plays a significant role in:

1. problem solving

It lies behind basic tasks such as the identification of places, objects and people, for example, in face perception and

facial recognition systems. It has been argued that Analogy is "The Core of Cognition".

Art Project: Visual Analogies

Take two or more pictures of objects, people, places, etc. and put them "together" in one picture that you create.

You can do this by drawing your own pictures or using magazines, printed online pictures, etc. Any way you like...

The pictures can have a familiar "association", like foods or animals or similar places; or you can choose pictures that are Not usually

associated together and put them together to see what Effect they have in making your picture art.
